Agree with you in turn Joel, though.... as we are both pondering month after month.... what is to be done with the Bluebird mine... it's not running at full capacity, it's not been studied for an upgrade, it's potentially going to see gas conversion, but... not specific date....
Obviously WB has a plan, but... he is not sharing everything yet.
They can indeed truck to Bluebird (plant), they have stated as much in presentations, which in the interim, makes a lot of sense as they have already stated they plan to throttle down the Paddy's U/G to focus more on profitability than just more ounces. Though when I look at the more recent numbers they provide... they are basically saying Paddy can produce 480k-720k... couple that with the Bluebird U/G mine and they are actually going to have upwards of 300kt p.a over production... perhaps they truck some to Fortnum?
That being said, Bluebird U/G mine... is going to almost fill the Bluebird plant... (approx 960ktpa) if they reach the top end of the production targets.
Bluebird looks to produce anywhere from 720k-960k p.a.
100%, if they could do it all again, they would have built a new plant, but to be fair, they picked up Tuckabianna for peanuts...
I was looking at this map from the failed T/O of GCY and cannot help but see the logic in consolidation. Basically a crescent moon over the whole region, with just the 4 plants, let alone if Glenburgh even got into production (5 plants). Here was the initial rationale (not much has changed I would have thought).
Except... with Never Never now discovered, the enlarged entity, couple with Big Bell expansion and Great Fingal, could be closer to a 450k p.a producer, which would see it become the... 5th of 6th largest producer on the ASX.
Just in case anyone is wondering, yes, I added the circle for Glenburgh...As... I am pretty sure they are not going to be trucking from Glenburgh to Fortnum, or Bluebird for that matter. GCY offers a plant to feed quickly, plus gain a greenfield project with a 500k+ MRE...
Move over RSG and.... just maybe RRL. Cheers CMM for putting the graph together.
Indeed the savings would be north of $30m just off the top of my head (save $10 a tonne processing 3mtpa). Hmm... I suppose with trucking included... double that!
