Hey Wassa, Appreciate the reply, fair point about the failed T/O of GCY, though of course, if the MD of GCY had half a clue, he would have included a clause to enable GCY to accept other deals/offers... instead of setting up a forced marriage with FFR.
Without doubt, they missed/chose not to enter in negotiations during the recent recapitalisation, as clearly Tempo got a great deal considering that Never Never was already discovered. I do struggle to understand why WB did not make a real offer, though... if I can hazard a guess, he wanted to prove to the WGX board beyond all doubt that he can indeed run WGX profitably, and in doing so, WGX would garner a higher market cap to then make deals more advantageous etc.
As for me being excited, for anyone crazy enough to have been on HC for a similar time, that's just me.
I think you are being a little harsh on the WGX under WB, though I think that level of criticism is well deserved un the past MD. For example, WGX taking a position in AME... just way too early and to date, has been a pointless waste of capital. But fair enough to be critical. I know I am not critical enough on some stocks.
