Usually with hole instability problems they make changes to the drilling fluid .
Change the chemistry of a water based fluid and possibly the mudweight and in an extreme case use an oil based fluid ( expensive ) .Hilcorp is a very experienced operator so should get it done this time .
The Market seems to take a " Half Empty " approach to any Announcement that has potentially very good news as well as the undoubted bad news of the redrill .
The Market obviously had a sniff that bad news was coming so now that it is out maybe this will be a bottom .
