its not necessarily about the economics but rather the environmentalism, for now. In the future the higher cost of producing the "green steel" will be mitigated via carbon credits, tariffs, etc on low grade "dirty" iron, thus making the cheap and nasty stuff nonviable/non-competitive against the "feel good happy steel"
