Posted below is an excerp from the Mt Weld deposit 2015 MRE, compiled from solely from 774 AC holes for 18,232m samples from only the carb regolith... image of the Mt Weld regolith and HG ore zone above LG primary carb rock with AC drill traces below. Visually, you can see all the supergene wetahered zones are brown from oxidised iron due to heavy weathering... perfect for AC, even with calcrte and iron induration making some holes difficult or early refusal... Mineral sands, lateritic clays, unconsolidated cover it really doesn;t matter... horses for courses right. If the Nb isn't in the AC or isn't HG then that's what it is. Any contamination from wet or running holes the Ac can't handle will be noted on logs by the geo, and if there is too much potential for contamination it will be dealt with by twin holes, other drill methods and statistical validation. MREs are a process of statistical analysis more so than geology interp.
Honestly, at this early stage of exploration, don;t worry about minor sampling or assay error variations
