Just read a paper titled 'Weathering of spodumene to smectite in a lateritic environment'
It suggested that 97% of the lithium is lost in the weathering process and that was from a sample taken in Greenbushes. This supports the comments of anomalous indicator elements despite the lack of lithium in the samples.......
