I would have liked to see the mag map for the northern tenement as well. Some thoughts on anomaliesMag 01-4.

.....
- · These anomalies have been vetted by qualified professionals as having some similarities to Havieron MAGNETICS.
- · Mag 1, 2 and 4 are further east and probably have significantly more (100+++m) cover than Mag 03.
- · This depth of cover will influence the magnetic response. I wonder if some of the anomaly strength is because cover is locally less or there is palaeo-topography (ridges under cover).
- · All anomalies are associated with other weaker magnetic features with the possible exception of Mag 01 that appears to have a potential cross cutting relationship.
- · Whereas Havieron is possibly associated with a dyke, 3 of the 4 AZY anomalies may be more closely related to stratigraphy. Again Mag 01 appears to be different.
- · Below are some more specific comments
Mag 01 seems to have a NNE strike to it that cross cuts the ribbons of NNW trending magnetics that stand out against a quiet magnetic background (??deep or very uniform low magnetic). The orientation of flight lines may be of importance. Ground follow up plus gravity??
====Mag 02 is the strongest magnetic point of a folded (imbricated?) variably magnetic unit that covers the majority of E45/5079. The depth of cover here is IMO masking a larger magnetic feature to the east (perhaps an intrusive of some sort).
Weak, parallel WNW narrow magnetic features are possibly late dolerite dykes with one possibly intersecting the 02 “pimple”.
Mag 03 – NW trending magnetics probably reflecting folded stratigraphy on the margin of domes and perhaps intrusives (to the SE red/brown magnetics) within a block bounded by major faults.
· *There is a hint of fold closure in the Mag03 area which is defined by a magnetic stratigraphic unit.
· * The target occurs at an inflection point (bend) along the NE limb.
· *Other possibilities for the intensity of the anomaly – magnetite concentrations (Wilki formation??), shallower depths of cover,
How does this anomaly match with the 2018 AEM.
No obvious correlation.
Mag 04 is a Spot magnetic high (“pimple”) at what appears to be a at the fold nose of a moderate to strongly folded stratigraphic unit set against a quiet magnetic background. Previous NCM drilling (Prefect Target) in the area intersected magnetite in basement (Proterozoic metamorphosed units) with the conclusion that this and most other anomalies tested were of no economic interest. (Havieron was the exception.)
As a weekend exercise I played with the data and some far flung geological ideas as vague analogies for the potential in the Paterson. This PDF is the draft result.
