Australia is the epitome rich kid born into enormous wealth, given the best of everything, the most advantage, and did nothing with his life except become a cocaine snorting fool. Sure, from the outside, at first take, his life seems lucky but its not. He utterly failed to use the wealth and advantage he was given and has massive problems just below the surface.

the crazy stuff Australia believes about the world, about banking, economics, about science and pandemics. climate and environmentalism, and development and politics is just nuts. Youre all so much poorer for it and you have absolutely ruined it for your kids, and their kids, but most Australians still firmly believe theyre lucky. The cognitive dissonance is unreal.
