Meteoric Metals has (I read) an ionic clay deposit in Brazil formed essentially by weathering where the heavy magnetics are only a small fraction of the total REE magnetics. They focus on reporting total magnetics the vast majority of which is Nd and Pr which are unprofitable at $50/kg - even for ionic clays The Dy and Tb content is critical to financing and profitability. As.a geologist, I am interested in how this weathering process produces Tb in those extreme values in Greenland.
