However, at the end of the day, you have 2 operating mines which have now paid off the initial starting costs & costs for 3rd parties and are now making profits approx. $1800 aud / ounce above what they were modelled to be originally. A few of us have calculations of around $100M coming in from both Phillips and Boorara in the next year if the gold price holds well. Just a fortnight ago, you had some random posters spreading fear saying the gold run is over bla bla bla. They are clearly not looking at the larger economic picture. This includes Friday's US economic downgrades by Moody's Ratings, Trumps attempts to get across a $ 4 trillion debt extension in the next GOP Bill proposal, as well as interest rate cuts globally which are going to power gold along. Not to mention the record central bank purchasing globally. You can all see where this is heading. No coming back from this fiscal nightmare, no chance!
The gold price as of a couple of minutes ago on 21/05/2025. Around $200 Aud off the all-time Aud highs. Extremely positive in my view. I sense a few posters have sold for a tax loss recently and have gone into negative mode. The run has barely started and those with patience and understanding of the global economic situation will be well rewarded in stocks like HRZ imo.
