I sell bearings for automotive uses. It depends on what they are meant to do , sustain heavy vibration etc.Vanadium toughened steel bearings. How do we know they are using Chinese bearings ? Need to know the average lifespan of a bearing in this apkication. Japan And Taiwan make quality bearings. I suspect heavy sustained vibration could be an issue in this aplication.The usual procedure is to specify very high quality , in a double failure situation like this. I calculated 9 months ago they were making $300,000 per day . You could be running Kriptonite bearings to save that kind of money. The operator should have fixed this weakness , at the first failure. Sounds slack.
