I haven't posted my thoughts on the actual product yet, but here's a little morsel to throw out there.

How are any of those companies going to compete when Google offers a free product that does everything they do for free?

And they will, just think about it.
- They have the best map based software around.
- Think of the data obtained(and this is what google is about). You search google for a product, you click on the link to a retailer, with the last mile solution in place google would then have access to the entire end to end data on a transaction.
- Helps both development of their map app, and their google search adds (by capturing delivery data they have better data on the completion of sales based off searches and clicks).

It will happen IMHO. The actual delivery component will be done by others, but a pure tech/data play will be all Googles. Some companies will carve out niche products, and with $100 mill in the bank GSW might just be able to do that.
