Over the years I have seen that share consolidations wipe out long term investors as it provides a fresh start to short the hell out of the stock and go long once new base formed, then, short again, rinse, repeat. Shorters know that, so, if consolidation announced, price will sink even further. I exited when 1c did not hold, and will re-enter when the above happens, if ever.
