I agree, that was my initial thoughts too (i.e. a future acquisition target to help them expand into Asia Pacific and extend their intellectual property and offerings).
GTG has significant future tax benefits (i.e. hundreds of millions of dollars of losses to offset future profits) for a new owner.
GTG has also invested hundreds of millions of dollars into R&D.
