Whatever tomorrow's result looks like, there is an 80% chance that I will be buying the stock either way (as zany as that sounds).
Either the result is a shocker, reflecting the tough trading conditions - which will send the stock price down (I'll be happy to buy if that is the case because in 12 months time the company will be cycling the current weak base).
Or the result demonstrates resilience and is not be as bad as I am expecting, in which case I will want to increase my investment.
It's called finessing, and isn't really smart investing.
