Re "Now if FAR win the right to PE - I would imagine that would also enable CAIRN to have the right to PE". I dont' think it works that way. CNE didn't put their hands up at the beginning, so the PE rights is now all FAR's.
However, CNE can certainly PE if FAR on sells, but it wouldn't be at 2.20/B so as CN said of COP why would it matter to them (COP) where the money is coming from. But I think it'll be more like CNOOC.
With all these (seemingly) contradicting comments, do they know what they are doing?
