Thanks for the contribution @focused - since posters here have been kicking around ideas on other previous threads as to what or how PRU could gain any access to "inside info" or whether its just as you say - they are experienced operators in Africa and are just treating their investment in PRU as any other investor it all comes back to for someone like say Sprott or Blackrock (or PRU) there would obviously be teams of legal/permitting/political science experts as well as the technical experts in engineering and geology etc informing their investment decisions.

Since these discussions, PDI has seen the news out of Guinea about the suspension of the Ministry of Mines business of processing and maintenance of the cadastral system and issuing and reissuing of all mining related permits. Whether this is from some completely benign set of circumstances to say the staff being unpaid and on strike, or the generator that supplies the ministry building running out of fuel, or a computer issue or something entirely different and more sinister like a wholesale review of all mining tenure and the first step in the government canceling licenses and/or confiscating assets or implementing new policies and tax rates/royalties and government ownership, remain to be seen.

I don't think even the best political science eggheads at Sprott or Blackrock could have confidence in predicting the politics of any West African nation more than 24 hours in advance so this latest news is a surprise to all and sundry from the least informed Aussie ASX punter right through to professional institutional investors with teams of analysts to advise them.

The poster @discostu89 implied that people "in country" were aware of this Government Department shutdown or suspension of activities and it seems that only PDI have chosen to announce this rather cryptic news to the ASX - maybe under sufferance or advice from PDI lawyers?
If people were aware of this "in country" then it would seem only a matter of time before this news escapes Guinea to the rest of the world. Hopefully, @discostu89 can elaborate on this - whether its first-hand info or via someone that they know.
