It was just and oddly worded release.
They made it initially sound like "maintenance of the system" was just rebooting the computers, so pretty innocent, but then they added the dreaded "reviewing of all mining titles" at the end.
It might not even affect PDI since they don't fall into this category yet so it could have been a completely innocent freudian slip. But still, once the lemmings decide to go cliff jumping not much you can do.
