Presuming that it was a 'while ago', PRU would have undoubtably been aware of it, ditto Pardey when he reaffirmed PDI being on track with timing of the exploitation permit.

@coto "....likely a large investor or institution told them to do it, spread fear in retail holders minds and buy at yet another discount." -> An interesting idea but I can't quite believe that PDI would play that game. The reputational risk would be quite damming & the benefit, minimal - from all that I know.

Anyway, I'm not ruling anything out at this stage but, having been embedded in a third world government department for a long term work contract, I have experienced first hand the astonishing issues that can arise with public sector management. This is often further exacerbated when you mix in tribal ethnicities into senior management. So I stand by my earlier comment & agree with legaleagle's comment suggesting to take PDI's announcement at face value. We'll soon know what's what.
