This is a complex question. In this case Zantrene worked, but not enough animals were included in the study (given the variability) to show a statistically significant effect. This was just a scoping study so it only had a small number of animals. Not finding a statistically supported result is not unexpected given the number of animals, the unexpected aspect was how bad the animal model proved to be. This was our first use of this model and supplier and what we learnt meant we didn’t use this model or supplier again.

None of this answers the question if Zantrene is a good drug for use in humans with kidney cancer. To answer this question new studies in better models need to be performed. I wish science was easy, but reality is not so kind.
