what the heck are you on about lol. the scope of work for audits change all the time. if there needs to be more work done, than it is reflected in the fees. There are many factors that go into that, especially if there are surprises that take more time and work to figure out. You obviously have no idea of the consequences that partners face if they sign financials that is not a true and fair representation of the company's position.
