The purpose of DFC is to fund projects like Karibib to develop nations like Namibia.
This will then feed the chem plant.
Legal DD would not be underway if the project was an unacceptable risk to DFC. Considering DFC have some of the strictest due diligence processes, this is a big vote of confidence so far.
Not to mention the caesium factor of Lepidolite.
I'd imagine if Phase 1 provides renewed research and development progress for caesium products, the importance of lepidolite will significantly increase. Especially if there are new products which will need a constant supply of caesium that is derived from LPD tech.
It's an interesting thought if more lepidolite deposits will be discovered once/if it starts being actively looked for on a world scale, and not just considered an uneconomic source of lithium, excluding L-Max
Obviously a few lithium juniors are finding lepidolite now with the exploration buzz around lithium.
