We have always known the project was on the small side compared to average but it was sold as fast tracking generating cash flow. It actually made sense except they couldn't get it going before they painted themselves into a corner.
The impaired asset is really only an accounting thing they have done it to carry it forward. If they decide to restart it they'll have to reverse it.
They aren't using the same personnel going forward they are using a contractor.
The nepotism needs to end. The chief engineer should go for a start.
It's not a good look that all the employees lost their job except family management. Like you said what's going to change, the employees weren't responsible for the design failures.
