They spent at least $22m in the last 12 months just trying to get it to work, and they still couldn’t get there. By my estimate they’ve likely got less than half of that on hand right now, and Pablo and the fam still want their cut, and C&M costs still need to be paid.
Hitting pause on the plant doesn’t hit pause on expenditure. If you think the remaining funds are not only enough to sustain C&M, but fund pre-development engineering for the expansion, re-start, retraining of personnel, AND fix the unrectified issues in the plant, then you’re dumber than I first thought.
