Been there. Don't stress. Find a good accountant. I Made good investments (blue chips) with additional funds, reinvest and cancel off capital losses with gains down the track. Takes a long time (decade plus for me)
but you can minimise the damage and go on to make good $$$$. As I always say "you burn you learn".
Oh and don't get married or you'll lose even more.
