IO up today, does anyone “really’ know what the future demand for steel is? My guess is ‘lots’ of demand in the foreseeable future, with a handful of months perhaps up or down a bit. Bluescope repairing its blast #6 furnace in SA. Coal will be here for a long time yet.
but the dirtier the better? Nope that’s going to accelerate the push against coal. Cleaner is better - long term.
invest in new coal mines? No thanks, keep returning 20% gross annual, I am here for the medium term, like coal….
