At a quick count using the Marine Traffic website, there's at least eight container ships waiting offshore for discharge/pickup at Port of Brisbane, plus vehicle carriers and other types of ships. Unhelpful to LAU's clients.
With container shipping, such delays tend to compound because vessels are then late for their next port call, and so it goes on until the container line decides ships will miss some timetabled port calls (which of course then delays export and import containers). A logistical nightmare.
