Basic message from the Board :
"We have been lying to you about the net asset value of your company - here is what we really think its worth -$159m"
Second message :
"Now that we have told you the company is only worth $159m, and that is before the US$30m SEDCO settlement payment, so net value $125m, tha means NAV is - 9.45cps.
So if we get a takeover bid for anything close to 9.45cps (say 10% discount so 8.5cps) we will recommend accepetance as we will be able to demonstrate it is "fair and reasonable" "
...well thanks for that, I can look forward to going home for the weekend feeling like I am walking on the street without my pants.
