WHC has said they will allow all Contract Workers to become Permanent Employees - this will significantly improve safety as no one will now be afraid to report hazards and be pressured into non realistic production targets but will mean higher labour costs including 5wk holiday pay, sick leave, parental leave, LSL, and of course termination pay - will need an additional 10% workforce to cover the absenteeism but hopefully a happier workforce.
