I don't think anyone can even imagine the likely outcome when the virus spreads uncontrolled through the world's population, as it surely will. Of course many will die, particularly the elderly, but the effects on the world's financial system will be equally devastating. Presumably healthcare and gold stocks will fare better than a lot of others but all will suffer. Cash at the bank earning 1.5%pa is probably the best option right now.
