They've recommenced the buyback.
The only reason that I can see for GDI under-performing the REIT sector is because they've finally cut their distribution to a more realistic 5c per unit.
Such selling is probably institutionally driven i.e. motivated for all the wrong reasons, giving the very long term investor loads of opportunity to reap the benefits of an inevitable turnaround in prospects for the group. Pre-tax returns of 12% to 15% compound (pre-tax) from current levels are not out of the question for someone willing to back some managed risk over the next decade.
