Underground operations will begin at Syndicate, which has largely been developed however has lower gold grades (3.8g/t) and higher levels of antimony (3.6%). Ore is also mildly refractory so which will impact leach recoveries but some of which will be captured in concentrate. Mining will then focus on the Sunlight and Blacklode deposits which have higher gold grades (4.5g/t), lower levels of antimony (1.1%) and is generally less refractory. The sequencing (Syndicate before Sunlight and Blacklode) has been determined based on the lower capital requirement to establish mine access and ore drives.

The initial processing flowsheet will involve crush, grind, gravity, gold flotation, leach, gold electrowinning and smelting. This process flowsheet may be applicable for initial underground material with low Sb levels. As Sb levels lift, an Sb flotation circuit will be commissioned.The gold circuit will be directly electrowon once target concentrations are met and then smelted. Gravity gold will be processed through the intensive leach circuit and separately electrowon as concentrations will be much higher than the main leach circuit.The POX circuit would require a full rehabilitation since the electronic controls were removed, however the bulk of the processing circuit is there, and this represents an opportunity for RVR to unlock value at the operation.
