How many years do we need? Everything runs concurrently in these projects - suppliers were identified mid last year and their choices for large procurement items would be limited anyways - Siemens was one of those choices and now they are a direct competitor- how long did it take them to get approvals?

It is easy to make excuses for project time blowouts but the reality is these are people who have been here and done this before - the Kalina cycle is merely a tack on to what they are trying to deliver- it provides the ‘green’ element to make it compliant with government guidelines.

They have all done this before at Pristine- and every single person in the company according to management are providing all of their expertise on this ONE project- if that’s the case the 130 odd years of combined experience should make this a shoe-in.

And it’s not a mine. It’s a project that the government is keen, nay begging to get off the ground and is throwing grant money at competitors for similar projects- when it’s the governments goal to achieve a timeline of carbon responsibility things get easier to achieve. Permits become easier. Site approvals become easier.

$75m is absolutely chump change in the scheme of this sort of project work. It actually means nothing. And Canada’s regulatory environment is probably one of the lowest sovereign risks around. The government WANTS these to get off the ground.

So while your stories are nice, they need to push to meet or exceed the FNTP deadline. Times up.
