Relatively recent ALX buyer here, can anyone explain the "dividend guidance" to me? Based on past years, it looks like they'd be due to pay the dividend in just 4-5weeks, but the results only gave 'dividend guidance' and they're still yet to confirm the date and amount? Is that normal for ALX? When do actually confirm the details?
I agree with the above commentary; I bought ALX as they seem like a good stock for a covid-emergence theme where the bet seems mostly one-way. If we see the yield continue to return to where it was I think we can see ~30% SP gains over 1-2yrs.
How attractive yields are is definied by the background interest rate environment though, so I guess if we see reserve bank rates rise quickly as economies reopen and after all the QE then the SP might get stuck flat even with a rising yield.
