I like Sukin's previous strategy but have said for quite a while it seems overpriced above $6.00. I would be a buyer, but the valuation was pretty much off the chart I thought. It may go back up and i hope it does..but its a falling knife today.
The stock market always looks forward. Sukin branded products went into thousands of new supermarkets and internationally via Holland and Barret. It takes a lot of stock to sell into new stores. But Sukin sales only grew 17% from the period 12 months ago. So what does that say about through sales in these stores? It doesnt look good. But more importantly, are there still thousands of new stores to add for the upcoming half? If not, where is the growth to come from? Is it the other brands? I really dont think so either as their growth was reported as steady. The valuation even at $5.00 is still very high given the profit they are making and slow profit growth in $ terms. I reckon the growth forecast in revenue is optimistic, but could be wrong. I am hoping for all holders though it doesnt drop to the price that i think is good value.
