Last year the gov announced ~85m doses for 1.7b, however about 50m of that was the now failed Uni QLD candidate. Thats an average cost of $20 per dose, but there are lots of other costs not involving CSL lile consumables. Where did you see the 800m figure? And is that for the new total of 50m AZ doses? CSL don't own the underlying vaccine, so it would likely be lower margin contract manufacturing work in the future if it did seek to make a profit. At the moment AstraZ and CSL are doing it at cost, only in the future will profits be made.
