= $264.55 Per person per day. (3 people or you and a couple of ‘mates’)
Sorry… whilst i agree with you that programming has got easier.. i can guarantee you the Domino’s website is massively more complex than it was back then* (ask me how i know).. and the reality of building testing, deploying and supporting a 24/7 website isn’t just ‘you and a couple mates’ and its all done..
Capex rates for corporate development generally run from $750/Day for a JNR Developer (incl overhead) to $1600/$1800 Per day (incl overhead) for a SNR Developer / Architect, plus you need QA Testers, Project Managers, Architects (Solution and Data Modelling), Security, Infra and Cloud Engineers, Database Specialists, Data Insights.. to properly build a website for an ASX listed company (and keep it secure and running)..
It’s not cheap and its not easy… and you never get it right first time… constant review and improvement is vital.
They have a good base.. time will tell if they are able to grab the market share they are after with further enhancements.
So based on your numbers: 21 Working days in a month… (average)...
