dirty earnings 'discount' has absolutely no effect on the underlying value of the share, only the 'pricing' of the share.
So for the long term holder and acquirer, this is very beneficial.
Effectively it is talking about the price the market is prepared to pay for a unit of ownership, and nothing about the value of unit of ownership.
I am totally focussed on the value of a unit of ownership, and the only purpose of the price is to dictate whether it is a good time to acquire or sell my units of ownership.
I buy when there is value, and I sell when the market pays me a significant premium above value.
Life doesn't need to be complicated. Especially as I receive decent dividends to be patient.
