We have all made that mistake of riding the mountain up and taking the trip down again over the last year or two in the belief that the share will recover or stop the downward trend. I have had it happen on a number of holdings, however learnt the lesson after one went from 10c to 85c and didn't take any profit until it came back to 36c. It is now at 19c. Now I have studied the market enough to see a lot of the tricks and manipulation being played and not caught out as much and have been beaten up so much I do not have emotional attachment to any of my shares.
You are one of the lucky ones to still have a decent gain, not much comfort though when the company should be growing instead of not being able to hold on to business and unsure of its direction as it is all over the place chasing rainbows
