The deal between Federal Labor and the Greens is disastrous, as it apparently will stop coal miners and gas providers from planting trees or otherwise reducing their carbon footprint by offset measures.
It will be even harder to open new mines as these will be assessed on what 'emissions' they contribute to the world.
It's stupid because it
(a) will badly crimp Australian export earnings (b) destroys jobs - fanciful to think 'renewables' will replace these and (c) mainland communist China and India, plus others, will obtain more of their thermal coal from poor quality sources, thus increasing emissions
