Very interesting article. The author somewhat simplify how hard it would be to actually issue enough equity to get them over the line a little. They'd likely need shareholders approval on that amount of Script, and then you still have a heap of minority investors complicating everything and making noise on Governance.
Easiest would probably be to wrap-up Myer into the Premier stable, then restructure everything exactly as you want it to be. Myer Market Cap is still relatively small, and they own 30% anyway.
The other interesting bit is they haven't bought their 3% this half, even though they are entitled. Could be a sign they have material information that is stopping them from dealing in the stock. That's just a guess.
