There is always someone on the floor at a register. It isn'ty necessarily cost effective to have every pay point staffed.
Have you noticed how COL and WOW have reduced the number of staffed checkouts even though they're in a much higher volume trading environment than MYR? For the same reason (though MYR doesn't have self serve checkouts - yet).
