What struck me with this announcement is the following comment:
'We are tracking to our FY23 guidance, the balance sheet remains unquestionably strong and with no corporate debt Westgold is positioning to take advantage of emerging opportunities.'
Bring on the industry consolidation!
IMO the next 12 - 24 months may present some great opportunities for ASX gold investors to take advantage of takeovers where under-appreciated juniors (MGV, NXM, AME, GBR, AUC, GCY etc), get taken out by their bigger brothers (WGX, SLR, RMS, RRL, GOR etc) in their quest for cost effective growth.
