All sounds good, but given record low interest rates and the 'perceived' transformative difference McP is supposed to make (alleged 'company maker') any accumulated debt could be knocked off in no time at all. Look at how fast EVN paid down debt, without sacrificing returns to shareholders. In fact, dividends went on a record run.
When gold experts/analysts forge their recommendations on gold stocks being the new bank stocks (bank stocks once being the tried and true dividend generators) with attractive income yields it may pay management to heed that advice. I see this move as completely unnecessary and backward looking.
