Perhaps. I'd say it depends on how much oil is there, and whether they can get extensions to the (20 year?) production licences.
Obviously when faced with the option of leaving it in the ground on permit expiry it is best to pump more even if the incremental after tax gains are small.
Perhaps the 10,000 bopd view comes coloured by a view as to the ultimate recoverable resources in the permit? and the poo.
In the past Hartleys had no problems showing glowing projections well beyond 15,000 bopd.
