And don't forget that the old test (the skin test) is perceived to be very cheap or even free in some countries (provided free by the government) so convincing people to pay for a very high priced test (compared to other diagnostic tests) when there is no gold standard for latent TB infection, so you cannot easily show your test is better, will take some time.
