Very good point, Redgum. To suggest that there is no competition is rather naive. In fact, the competition has had over a century to establish itself, and to become fixed in the minds of the medical establishment. QFT has the huge task of overcoming this inertia, meaning that TST remains a formidable competitor. Not many medicos would relish telling their patients that the test they have recommended for years was always unreliable and subjective.
In the real world, overnight acceptance almost never happens!
