I bought FFI some years ago at an average SP of $4.47, because it yielded a reasonable dividend return, which sufficed to induce me to wait for the company to exploit its investment land, which has lain idle for years. Anyhow, according to the recent half-year report, a substantial chunk of this land will now be leased, and FFI's profitability is expected to improve MATERIALLY from the 2014 financial year.

I expect that the SP will soon eclipse my buy-in price of $4.47. Obviously, with hindsight I could have invested that money in more lucrative plays, but such is life. I expect FFI to be a nice dividend payer that I'll hold in my SMSF for a long time. I hold 11,734 FFI shares.
