Tax payments - per statement of cash-flows

    FY11 FY12 FY13 HY14 FY14 HY15
    $1.5m $0.65m $1k $48k $10k ZERO
    PAID PAID REFUND* REFUND* REFUND*

So they haven't paid any tax for a while.
    * Likely to be adjustments to prior tax payments (corrections).

(Current) Tax Payable per Balance Sheet

    FY13 HY14 FY14 Hy15
    $121k $140k $140k $140k

i.e not expecting material payments in the next 12 months.

Likely to be either non Australian based Income Tax - Singapore/Malaysia or a non material Australian Tax issue subject to review (as not moved for some period of time).

The above are per the "Taxation rules" for assessability/deductability and revenue/cost recognition.

The Income Tax expense disclosed in the HY14 Fin statements of ($697k) and prior half year ($906k) relate to the "tax calculation with relevance to the Accounting Profit" - which has different "rules" for revenue/cost recognition (timing related).

    This may explain your musing?
