A director/CEO could not inform an individual shareholder of an impending CR as that would be in breach of ASX rules and would leave them in a position where Legal action/prosecution would ensue. Therefore Peter had no option but to deny any knowledge of the CR.
A truely difficult situation to be in IMHO and I can understand the annoyance of a shareholder who may have asked such a question and then told something which turned out not to be the case.
